1Who We Are

HuzaHub ("we", "us", "our") is a freelance marketplace platform headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use huzahub.com and its related services.

2What We Collect

We never store full card numbers. Payment card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partners and we only receive a tokenised reference.

3How We Use Your Data

Operating the platform — matching job seekers with employers, processing applications and contracts.
Processing payments, managing escrow wallets and withdrawals.
Verifying your identity through our KYC process.
Sending service emails (account verification, contract notifications, payment receipts).
Enforcing our Terms of Service and preventing fraud.
Analysing aggregate, anonymised usage to improve the platform.
Complying with legal obligations, tax reporting, and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.

4Cookies & Tracking

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. See our Cookie Policy for details.

5Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

Between platform parties: Your public profile (name, skills, location) is visible to employers who view your application. Employer details are shared with seekers they engage.
Payment processors: Transaction amounts and references with our payment gateway partners.
Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or regulatory authority in Rwanda or other applicable jurisdictions.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer with appropriate safeguards.

6Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, plus a minimum of 3 years after closure to meet legal and financial obligations. KYC documents are retained for 5 years in compliance with anti-money-laundering regulations.

7Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Update inaccurate data through your account settings or by contacting us.
Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

8Security

We apply industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, rate limiting, and audit logging. While no platform is 100% secure, we are committed to protecting your data.

9Children's Privacy

HuzaHub is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover we have done so, we will delete the account immediately.
